BROTHERHOOD & HIGLEY QR CODES
We all know that one of the keys to selling your house is making sure it is well-represented online. That means a website updated with the latest information on listings as well as new and fresh photos. Brotherhood & Higley is committed to keeping your listing fresh on our website, on our individual realtor blogs, our social media and Facebook pages, with our Weekly Update online newsletters, and in newspapers and print advertising.
However, in this day and age that just isn't enough, is it? We have to do more.
Introducing the latest innovation in real estate marketing: QR codes as a way to connect your house to these online resources.
QR is short for Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone). They are used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your cell phone. Soon you may soon see QR Codes in Brotherhood & Higley's magazine advertising, on a billboard (then again probably not), a web page or even on your realtor's t-shirt. Once it is in your cell phone, it may give you details about that listing (allowing users to search for the location), or details about the listing agent and showing instructions.
The reason why they are more useful than a standard barcode is that they can store (and digitally present) much more data, including url links, geo coordinates, and text. The other key feature of QR Codes is that instead of requiring a chunky hand-held scanner to scan them, many modern cell phones can scan them. The full Wikipedia description is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code.
By placing a QR code on the real estate sign in front of your house, prospective customers and their realtors can connect to the latest price and listing information with which they can request a showing.
By placing a QR code on the New Canaan Advertiser newspaper ads Brotherhood & Higley agents can connect customers to additional photos and help them find the house in case they want to drive by.
Just another way Brotherhood & Higley is staying ahead of the competition and using the best of what's available to connect buyers and sellers.
